Yahoo Mail security check
Short answer
Yahoo’s Account Security page separates current sign-ins, external connections and recent account activity. Review each against access you recognize; a session or activity entry does not identify who physically used a device.
What you need to know
Review sign-ins, app connections and recent changes as separate controls.
-
Three separate Yahoo views
Yahoo’s Account Security page lists Current sign-ins, External connections and Recent account activity. Review the event type you need; these are not interchangeable records.
-
Remove the matching access
Sign out a device from Current sign-ins. For an external connection, inspect and delete its app password if you no longer authorize it. A suspicious event is a reason to change your password and review recovery details, not to install an outside monitor.
Check, act, and the limit
-
Start by checking
Open Yahoo Account Security directly and check Current sign-ins, External connections and Recent account activity.
-
Then act
Sign out an unfamiliar device. For an external app, review the app password used for access; change your Yahoo password if the activity is unexplained.
-
Know the limit
Yahoo notes that an unfamiliar location can reflect device location errors or an internet provider proxy. These records do not prove who read a particular message.
